No! Our freaking scheduling is not so complex that our pilots have to dig out freaking laptops to find out what the hell time they need to be at work. They just show up when we tell them to.

At CORE social networking in the cockpit is a No-No!
We also do not allow our pilots to do any social networking in the cockpit. If our pilots are going to do any social networking it will be in a bar on the ground where it’s supposed to be.

A Little CORE History

CORE began operations in 1968 as Colorado Regional Airways with a fleet of three DeHavilland DHC-6 Series 100 Twin Otter aircraft. Two of these were configured for 18 seats and the other for 13. The 13 seat plane went down in heavy weather between Boulder-Springs and Aspen exactly 13 months and 13 days after it was put in service. The crash was determined to be pilot error.

Colorado Regional managed to keep to assigned schedules by leasing a converted DC-3 to cover some routes until an 18 seat DHC-6 Series 200 was delivered in 1970.

60% of the airline’s stock was acquired by Damien Holdings in the early 1980′s and the name of the ompany was changed to CORE (from COlorado REgional) Airways. With a massive influx of cash, infrastructure and technology from BeriCraft Aviation (another company with heavy investment from Damien Holdings.)

By 2000, the company had grown to a $US 16 Billion company with over 75,000 employees.

Our market research tells us that one of the primary passenger concerns throughout the industry is lack of concern for the passenger’s luggage and other baggage items. Since our inception, we have worked hard to treat our customer’s baggage as if it were our own. We’re gearing up a new ad campaign to let air travelers everywhere know just how important their luggage is to all of us at CORE.
